Chindi

Hillsides covered with thick forests, acres filled with apple orchards small picturesque hamlet and remarkable views in all directions combine to make Chindi and the area around it, one of the most beautiful places in Himachal Pradesh. This pocket is still off the beaten track and yet has good facilities in terms of roads, small markets and accommodation. Chindi is an excellent off-beat destination.

Climate- The summer is mild and cottons and light woolens are suggested. In winter, the sunny days are pleasant- though the nights are cold and fairly heavy clothing is required. Through the rest of the year light woolens/ cottons are suggested.

Attraction
The wide Karsog valley lies below Chindi and has good excursion spots. Apple orchads add their attraction to the area- and Chindi is surrounded by them.
The area has several temples that display a high level of traditional craftsmanship. Some important ones are-Mamleshwara Mahadev,Kamakshya Mata,Mahunag, Ardhnarishwara, Aledi Mahadeva, Palinag at Nalagali the sacred Bhima Rock, Churag temple, Nag Dhamooni at Sairi Bangla, temple at Nag Dhamooni at Saranda.
The views from Kunhoo Dhar (23 km) are spectacular.
A hike to Shikari devi (3359 m) is possible from Chindi.
The village and temples of pangana (23 kms) make an interesting outing.
